SoK: Privacy-Preserving Reputation Systems (Gurtler, Goldberg 2021)¶
Last modified: 2026-10-27
Summary¶
Surveys privacy-preserving reputation systems and introduces a taxonomy of their architectures, security and privacy properties, and the cryptographic building blocks they rely on (anonymous credentials, blind signatures, ZK proofs, mixnets). Identifies the tension between user anonymity and accountability for feedback. Relevant to e-ID as a worked example of combining unlinkable credentials with accountability and abuse prevention.
